Firstly let’s just clarify - you can’t outrun a bad diet. Your diet should be the first thing that’s addressed. You are literally made up of what you eat! Incredible – you want to be made up of all good stuff don’t you? Of course you do!

Let’s clarify this - by saying diet this doesn’t mean I want you to go and pick a diet to follow – this is exactly what I don’t want you to do.

A diet is what you eat on a daily basis – not something you punish yourself with to fit into your skinny jeans.

I’m not going to provide you with a diet plan, as that’s not going to educate you or provide you with the tools you need to nourish for your body long-term.

I’m going to give you a gentle push in the right direction and let you work out what works for your body as we are all individual, but the same principles apply for everyone.

Instead of focusing on foods that you can’t eat regularly if you want to be BeachFit, focus on all the wonderful foods you can.

Too often we cave into having treats because we are telling ourselves that we can’t have them. You can have anything that you want – but choose to nourish yourself because you value your health and wellbeing.

Let’s crowd in the good stuff, and crowd out the bad stuff.

Good Stuff:

Poultry, meat, seafood, eggs, nuts, seeds, fruit and vegetables, spices, full fat diary in small amounts –
if it works for you, and you can add wonderful things on top like fermented foods, Kombucha and kefir.

Bad Stuff:

Food that comes out of packets, and has more ingredients then you can say in one sentence. This type of food doesn’t benefit anyone, apart from the food manufacturers. I’m not in the business of saying you can’t eat these foods ever, but ideally they are occasional foods as opposed to everyday foods.

Ideally we want to try and stay away from mass produced foods, with added chemicals, sugars and generally man-made foods.
